Have you ever seen a Scottish Wildcat? They are impressive cats. They are found in the forests of Western, Central and Eastern Europe, Scotland and Turkey. They are sometimes mistaken for house cats although they are larger than house cats, and have thick fur. They also move more during the day where domestic cats are nocturnal. Their numbers are decreasing. Some are shot as feral cats, which is reducing their numbers. Also, some interbreed with feral domestic cats which is a threat to the wild population.

Video of how TO bathe a cat

I found a pretty good video of how TO give a cat a bath. You can tell that this is not the first time the cat has had a bath. She is pretty calm. Her human moves slowly and gently; another good thing to remember when bathing your cat.

How NOT to bathe a cat

After my last post about how to bathe a cat, I found a great video of how NOT to give a cat a bath. Using a sprayer is an absolute no-no! This woman is lucky she didn’t get scratched to pieces. My cats would have been out of there in 3 seconds or less, slippery or not.

How to bathe a cat — the trauma-free way

Unlike dogs, cats don’t usually need a bath. They clean themselves. The number 1 reason you may need to bath your cat is that they got into something - oil, tar, tree sap. Or, maybe they were sprayed by a dog. In any case, do not take this task lightly. Bathing a cat is easy once you know how.
