This little one is Starfire — his soon to be adoptive parents have named him that. He is so photogenic and has the cutest little personality. Although he is small and a little shy with people, he is a spitfire with cats and inanimate objects. He tussles with all the other kittens and hold his own. He got neutered yesterday. To spay/neuter a kitten the rule at the Menodocino Coast Humane Society they have to be at least 2 months old and weigh 2 pounds. Starfire just made the 2 pound goal. Here’s a couple of pictures of the little guy:

Rocket, who is now 10 weeks old got his name because he was fast as lightening and the 1st to do everything. Nothing could stop him. Curious, adventurous, full of energy — and loved to be cuddled as well. Hard to believe his Mom, Poppy, was feral! And the most exciting thing for me is that ROCKET HAS A FOREVER HOME! Yes, a wonderful couple has adopted him and he has a sister cat and a brother that’s a puppy. He is loving it from what I hear. Here are a couple of my favorite pictures of him.

CoCo here. I love this little guy and I’m sorry he’s gone. He was not as timid as the other 3 and would let me play with him a little. Of course, SnoBall was a tad bit jealous because I usually play with her. SnoBall and I came from the same litter so she’s possessive. I’m gonna go see if I can get one of the others to play with me. Later, CoCo.

Want proof that Lions (big cats) have good long-term memories. Well, read on and watch this amazing video. I almost never cry, however, I sobbed when I watched it. It is a wonderful, touching and uplifting story of a lion who lived with humans as a cub, then was set free in Africa. Watch the video to see what happened when the couple traveled to Africa to see him. Warning: have a box of tissues handy.

Lee here. So, tell me again what the big deal is? I remember lots of things especially people. There’s only been one that scared me and whenever I hear his motorcycle coming up the drive, I disappear. I’m a big guy, but this guy is ca-raz-zi! Yikes, I think I hear a motorcycle. Lee has left the building!
